Completely agree! I have had all of those plus a few others.. some people think it is the greeting line and not a holy moment.


Wowzers. We've banned business from being discussed at coffee hour after worship...I never thought I might have to do so during the Communion line! The ones I get are situational: "Can you bring it the person next to me who can't walk?" and such.

Banning business on Sunday took my leaders' parrotting the "no business on Sunday" line for months until behaviors began changing. But it's a relief to walk into Coffee Hour and only have to be the pastor, not play the Trustee or Treasurer role.
